The main objective of the Hellenic Agricultural Organization DEMETER is the development or/and support of actions that aim to modernize and develop the agricultural sector of the country, the improvement of the productive procedures, the reinforcement of the competiveness, the certification of the qualitative agricultural products and aliments, the establishment and the certification of the Good Agricultural Practices and the controls of the production-transaction chain of milk and meat in the country.

In this context, the main objectives of the Institute of Industrial and Forage Crops are the following:

• The encouragement of the innovation, the research conduct, the knowledge diffusion, the technology and advisory services in the sectors of the agroalimentary chain of the factors related to the soil/water resources, the plant production and pest management.
• The support of everyone involved in the agricultural production to apply the good practices of agriculture.
