2001 - 2002 ΙΑΕΑ: ‘The salivary gland polytene chromosome maps in the medfly, Ceratitis capitata’. Participation as PhD candidate (Biology Department, University of Patras, Greece).

2002 - 2004 Research Committee of the University of Patras – C. Karatheodori basic research project): ‘Microsatellite markers in the Mediterranean fruit fly and their use in genetic mapping and analysis of the genetic structure of the species natural populations. Participation as PhD candidate (Biology Department, University of Patras, Greece).

2006 - 2008 Bilateral Greece-Cyprus R&T Collaborative Programmes of the General Secretariat of Research and Technology of the Ministry of Development, Greece, on “Assessment of resistance of natural olive fly populations to the naturalyte insecticide spinosad as well as investigation of the underlying molecular mechanism of such resistance”. Participation as Experienced Researcher (Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, University of Thessaly).

2009 - 2011 Commission of the European Communities (80064): MICROBEGR: Supporting environmental microbiology and biotechnology research potential in Western Greece’. Participation as Experienced Researcher (Department of Environment and Natural Resources Management, University of Ioannina, Agrinio, Greece).

2010 - 2015 IAEA: Cytogenetic studies of B. dorsalis species complex: Comparative polytene chromosome analysis among B. dorsalis s.s and members of the Dorsalis complex. Chromosomal distribution of Hopper and PiggyBac transposable elements by in situ hybridization in ‘Co-ordinated Research Project in Resolution of Cryptic Species Complexes of Tephritid Pests to Overcome Constraints to SIT Application and International Trade’. Participation as Experienced Researcher (Biology Department, University of Patras, Greece).

2012-2017 IAEA: Characterization of SymBioKosmos of Bactrocera dorsalis Complex of Fruit Flies in ‘Coordinated Research Project (CRP) in Use of symbiotic bacteria to reduce mass-rearing costs and increase mating success in selected fruit pests in support of SIT application’. Participation as Experienced Researcher (Department of Environment and Natural Resources Management, University of Ioannina, Agrinio, Greece).

2013 – 2014 EPEAEK–Thalis: “Symbiotic bacteria and omics technologies towards the development of novel and environment friendly control methods of insect pests: the case of the Mediterranean fruit fly (SYMBIOMICS)”. Participation as Experienced Researcher (Department of Environment and Natural Resources Management, University of Patras, Agrinio, Greece).

2015- IAEA: ‘Symbiotic and genetic evaluation of strains used in SIT’, in ‘’Coordinated Research Project (CRP) in Comparing rearing efficiency and competitiveness of sterile male strains produced by genetic, transgenic and symbiont-based technologies’. Participation as Experienced Researcher (Department of Biology, University of Patras).

2016- IAEA: ‘Cytogenetic analysis of members of Tephritidae complex species and cytogenetic characterization of Genetic Sexing Strains’. Participation as Experienced Researcher (Biology Department, University of Patras, Greece).

2015 – 2016 Marie Curie IAPP project: ‘Pesticides – Felicity or curse for the soil microorganisms?’ Participation as Experienced Researcher (Department of Environment and Natural Resources Management, University of Patras, Agrinio, Greece).

3/2016 – 12/2016 Plant Biosecurity CRC project: ‘Molecular basis of response to sub-lethal stresses’. Participation as Experienced Researcher (School of Veterinary & Life Sciences, Murdoch University, Murdoch, Perth, WA). Based for the purposes of this project mainly in ‘Insect Pest Control Laboratory, Joint FAO/IAEA Programme of Nuclear Techniques in Food and Agriculture’, Seibersdorf, Vienna, Austria
